3D scanning in
Downtown Seattle, WA.
Downtown Seattle packs high-rise offices, Pioneer Square's brick-and-timber heritage buildings, and the waterfront into a steep, tightly constrained grid.
3D laser scanning in Downtown Seattle, WA
We capture historic masonry and heavy-timber buildings in Pioneer Square for seismic retrofit and adaptive reuse, plus office tower floors being converted or re-tenanted along Third and Fourth Avenues. Government work includes King County and City of Seattle facilities. Sloped streets, limited loading access, and the waterfront changes after the Alaskan Way Viaduct removal mean scan logistics are planned around freight elevators and off-hours access.
Scope follows the question being asked. If the team already models in-house, the registered cloud is the whole handoff; if the answer has to reach a permit desk, a 2D as-built set is faster and easier for everyone downstream to open; if coordination is the real problem, a Revit model at an agreed LOD is what pays for itself. Anything outside the envelope — roof, yard, stockpile — comes from a mapping flight in the same mobilization.
Downtown Seattle sits inside our Washington service area, so mobilization is short and a return visit for a phase-two capture does not mean rebuilding the whole job. Most work here is scheduled within days rather than weeks, including nights and weekends for occupied buildings.
