A virtual tour is the communication layer on top of a survey. Stakeholders move through the space in a browser, read equipment labels, and understand context without a site visit, escort, or PPE.
The practical uses are unglamorous and valuable: remote walkdowns before a turnaround, handover documentation at project close, insurance and condition records, contractor pre-bid walks that would otherwise consume a week of escorted visits, and marketing for commercial space.
We are explicit about what a tour is not. It is an orientation product, not an engineering measurement, and it does not replace a registered point cloud when dimensions feed design or fabrication. Most of our clients take both, because each answers a different audience.

What is a virtual tour, and what's it actually good for?
A virtual tour is a navigable walkthrough — built from either a dedicated capture device or the same terrestrial scan used for other deliverables — that lets someone move through a space remotely, in a browser, without visiting in person. It is genuinely useful for remote walkdowns, handover documentation, and marketing.
Can we use the tour as a measurement or engineering document?
No, and we are direct about that limit — a virtual tour is excellent for showing people a space but is not an engineering-grade measurement product. Using a walkthrough as the dimensional basis for a design decision or a fabrication drawing is how a wrong number ends up in a document that matters; the registered point cloud from an actual 3D scan is what that decision should be checked against instead.
Who is the tour actually for if my team already works in CAD?
It's for everyone who will never open CAD — facility staff doing a remote walkdown, executives reviewing a site they have not visited, or a prospective client seeing a space before deciding to engage. Your CAD or BIM team keeps working from the measured data; the tour is the layer that makes the same building legible to everyone else.
