3D scanning in
Port of Houston / Ship Channel, TX.
The Houston Ship Channel is the backbone of the Gulf Coast petrochemical industry, lined with refineries, chemical plants, tank terminals, and the Port of Houston's container and bulk terminals.
3D laser scanning in Port of Houston / Ship Channel, TX
We scan process units, pipe racks, tank farms, loading docks, and pump and compressor areas in refineries and chemical plants from Pasadena and Deer Park to Baytown, as well as terminals and warehouses around Barbours Cut and Bayport. Brownfield plants require scans for tie-ins and revamps, tank shell and floating-roof geometry, and clash detection against existing steel and piping. Work inside plant fence lines needs TWIC credentials, site safety orientation, hot-work and gas-detection protocols, and is often timed around turnarounds.
Deliverables get chosen against the decision rather than against a price list: the point cloud alone where a design team takes it from there, plans, sections, and elevations where the output has to be drawn, and an IFC or Revit model where several disciplines share the same congested space. Site and roof mapping is added when the outside of the building matters as much as the inside.
Port of Houston / Ship Channel sits inside our Texas service area, so mobilization is short and a return visit for a phase-two capture does not mean rebuilding the whole job. Most work here is scheduled within days rather than weeks, including nights and weekends for occupied buildings.
