3D scanning in
Port of Oakland, CA.

The Port of Oakland is Northern California's main container gateway, ringed by rail yards, truck depots, and warehouses along the Oakland Estuary and the former Army base.

3D laser scanning in Port of Oakland, CA

We capture container terminal buildings, intermodal rail facilities, and the large distribution and cold-storage buildings in the Oakland logistics center. Terminal work requires TWIC credentials and coordination with active vessel and gate operations. Former military and port structures also need documentation for redevelopment and seismic upgrades.

Scope follows the question being asked. If the team already models in-house, the registered cloud is the whole handoff; if the answer has to reach a permit desk, a 2D as-built set is faster and easier for everyone downstream to open; if coordination is the real problem, a Revit model at an agreed LOD is what pays for itself. Anything outside the envelope — roof, yard, stockpile — comes from a mapping flight in the same mobilization.

Port of Oakland sits inside our California service area, so mobilization is short and a return visit for a phase-two capture does not mean rebuilding the whole job. Most work here is scheduled within days rather than weeks, including nights and weekends for occupied buildings.
