Data centers
captured properly.

White space, MEP galleries, and roof plant captured without touching live IT load.

Why this building type gets scanned

A 3D scan service for data centers has to work around uptime. We capture white space, electrical rooms, chilled water plant, cable trays, and roof equipment while the floor stays live, then hand your team a coordinated model of the space they are about to change.

  • Retrofit and densification planning depends on real clearances above the racks, not the original design set.
  • Cooling and electrical upgrades cross trades — one coordinated point cloud stops the rework loop.
  • Roof plant, generator yards, and fuel storage need the same coordinate system as the interior.
  • Colocation tenants and audits ask for a documented as-built record that matches the physical room.

How a typical project runs

We walk the site or review drawings and photos, agree the areas and density, and set control. Field work is scheduled around your operations — nights, weekends, or planned outage windows where required. After registration and QA, the deliverable set is produced and reviewed with your team so the files are usable on day one. The full workflow is on our process page.

The deliverable set follows from the questions above. In practice that is terrestrial capture of the hall and its electrical rooms, a Revit model of the services above the racks, and a roof survey of the mechanical plant flown rather than walked.

What we capture
  • White space and containment
  • Electrical rooms, MCC, switchgear
  • Chilled water and CRAC/CRAH plant
  • Overhead tray, busway, and containment
  • Generator yards and fuel systems
  • Roof-mounted mechanical equipment
Typical deliverables
  • Registered point cloud (E57 / RCP)
  • Revit model at LOD 200–300
  • 2D plans and sections (DWG / PDF)
  • Roof and yard orthomosaic
