Information you give us
When you submit a quote request or contact us by email or phone, we collect what you choose to send: your name, company, email address, phone number, project location, building type, and whatever project detail you include.
We use that information for one purpose — to respond to your enquiry and scope the work. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their marketing.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It sets cookies and collects standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site.
Analytics loads only after the page has finished rendering or on your first interaction, and it is used in aggregate. Google acts as a data processor for this; their own privacy terms apply to data they hold. You can block it entirely with any standard content or cookie blocker, and the site will work normally.
This site is served as static files by GitHub Pages. Standard web server logs, including IP addresses, may be retained by that host for security and operational purposes.
Project and site capture data
Reality capture work produces point clouds, photographs, drone imagery, and models of your facility. This data belongs to you. We hold a project archive so a later phase can reuse the registration rather than starting over, and we do not publish, license, or reuse client site data for marketing without written permission.
Capture inevitably records incidental detail — people who happen to be in frame, vehicles, signage, screens. Where a site is sensitive, we can agree handling rules in advance, including scrubbing personnel from deliverables, restricted storage, and delivery only through channels you nominate.
Sites with specific security requirements — pharmaceutical, defence-adjacent, government, and utility facilities — are routinely handled under a client NDA and site-specific data rules. Ask before the project starts rather than after.
Retention and security
Enquiry correspondence is retained while it is commercially useful and then deleted. Project data is retained for the period agreed in your contract; absent a specified period, we keep it for the life of the working relationship so it can support future phases.
Data is stored on access-controlled systems. No transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; what we do commit to is not treating your facility data casually.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@3dscancraft.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the New York SHIELD Act, the CCPA/CPRA, or the GDPR. We will honour valid requests under applicable law regardless of where you are.
Deletion requests covering project deliverables may conflict with contractual record-keeping obligations; where that happens we will explain the conflict rather than quietly ignore the request.
Third parties
We use a small number of service providers to operate the business: analytics, email, cloud storage, and file transfer. They process data on our behalf under their own terms.
This site links to third-party sites, including equipment and software vendors. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change, and the revision date at the top will change with it.
