Architectural Scanning
for real-world decisions.
Measured building documentation architects and engineers can start designing against immediately.
From site conditions
to a confident next step.
Architectural laser scanning solves the oldest problem in renovation work: the drawing set does not describe the building. We capture the existing conditions and deliver them in the form a design team actually uses — dimensioned plans, elevations, sections, and a model with the point cloud linked so anything can be verified.
The work is usually scheduled around occupancy. Offices, schools, museums, places of worship, and multifamily buildings get captured evenings and weekends, with the scan plan built around access rather than convenience. Where a façade or ornamental interior is involved, capture density is raised so profiles survive into the deliverable instead of being idealised.
For adaptive reuse and historic work, this pairs directly with our heritage documentation. For fit-outs and renovations, it feeds coordination: once the above-ceiling condition is measured, the routing argument between trades is settled with geometry rather than opinion.
- Floor plans, elevations, sections
- Revit model at an agreed LOD
- Ceiling, structure, and MEP where scoped
- Coordinated to your project datum
- As-built drawing set (DWG / PDF)
- Revit or IFC model
- Registered point cloud
- Reflected ceiling plans

Different teams ask for this work under different names. These all land on the same scope conversation.
Where design teams start from measurement
Architects inherit buildings, not blank sites. A measured base means the first design review argues about the design rather than about whether the wall is where the drawing says.
New York coverage includes existing building capture for architects in Syracuse, base models for design teams in Troy, architectural survey work in Union, NY, and measured building documentation in Utica. On the New Jersey side it takes in base models for design teams in Elizabeth, architectural survey work in Franklin, measured building documentation in Gloucester, and existing building capture for architects in Hackensack. The Connecticut side of the service area adds architectural survey work in Manchester, measured building documentation in Meriden, existing building capture for architects in Middletown, CT, and base models for design teams in New Britain.
