How we typically engage
Most public work reaches us in one of three ways: directly for a small documentation scope, as a subconsultant to an architecture or engineering prime on a capital project, or through an existing on-call or term contract held by a design partner.
We are comfortable in the subconsultant role, including supplying the documentation a prime needs for their submission and holding to their schedule and drawing standards.
Relevant classifications
The NAICS codes that usually apply to our work are 541370 (Surveying and Mapping Services, except Geophysical), 541330 (Engineering Services), and 541990 (All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services) depending on how a solicitation is written.
Registration details required for federal work — including the UEI issued through SAM.gov — and any state or agency-level vendor registrations are supplied on request during the bid process.
Bid and compliance documentation
Typical packages include certificates of insurance with the required endorsements, W-9, safety records, references for comparable projects, resumes for assigned personnel, and completed vendor prequalification forms.
Where a project carries prevailing wage, certified payroll, or apprenticeship requirements, tell us during scoping — those obligations change how the work is priced and administered, and they cannot be retrofitted after award.
Deliverables that survive procurement review
Public projects increasingly specify BIM deliverables and existing conditions documentation in the RFP itself. We deliver to a stated modeling matrix and level of development so that what is handed over can be checked against what was specified.
Every project closes with a registration and QA report documenting control, residuals, and coverage. On public work that report is often the difference between a deliverable that is accepted and one that is argued about.
