Different industries, different failure modes
A distribution center and a refinery both benefit from a 3D scan service, but for opposite reasons. The warehouse cares about clear height, dock geometry, and roof area over hundreds of thousands of square feet. The refinery cares about a few dozen tie-in points measured to millimeters inside a congested unit. Scoping starts by naming which of those two problems you actually have.
