Building type

Manufacturing plants & factories
captured properly.

Production lines, crane bays, mezzanines, and overhead services measured for retrofit work.

Why this building type gets scanned

Factory laser scanning captures the production floor as it actually stands: equipment footprints, crane rails, mezzanines, conveyor galleries, and the overhead services threaded between them. It is the fastest way to plan a line move, an equipment replacement, or a plant expansion without a week of tape measures.

  • Production line 3D scan data settles clearance arguments before steel is ordered.
  • Crane rail clearance and overhead crane geometry are hard to measure any other way.
  • Equipment foundation scans let new machines be set against verified anchor locations.
  • Brownfield 3D scanning gives estimating a defensible basis when drawings are decades old.

How a typical project runs

We walk the site or review drawings and photos, agree the areas and density, and set control. Field work is scheduled around your operations — nights, weekends, or planned outage windows where required. After registration and QA, the deliverable set is produced and reviewed with your team so the files are usable on day one. The full workflow is on our process page.

The deliverable set follows from the questions above. That is capture of the production floor as it stands, equipment footprint and layout drawings, and a model of the structure and overhead services where a line move has to be coordinated.

What we capture
  • Production lines and equipment envelopes
  • Overhead cranes and crane rails
  • Mezzanines and platforms
  • Conveyor galleries
  • Equipment foundations and pads
  • Machine shops and maintenance areas
Typical deliverables
  • Registered point cloud
  • 2D as-built plans and sections
  • Revit or IFC model, LOD 200–300
  • Equipment footprint drawings
