Seventeen services, one control network

Reality capture is not one product. A refinery tie-in, a warehouse clear-height study, and a school roof takeoff need different instruments, different densities, and different deliverables. What stays constant is the control: everything we capture on a project — interior scans, drone imagery, ground targets — is registered into a single coordinate system so the pieces line up when your team combines them.

If you are not sure which service you need, start with existing conditions and tell us the decision you are trying to make. Most scopes end up as a combination: scanning plus a 2D set, or scanning plus a drone map of the roof.

Professional 3D scanning covers more ground than the phrase suggests. The same crew and the same control network handle large-scale 3D scanning of a multi-building campus, industrial laser scanning inside a live plant, 3D scanning engineering work such as reverse engineering a legacy part, and digital reality scanning for a property listing. What changes between them is instrument choice, capture density, and the deliverable — not the discipline.

What we do not do

Reality capture sits next to several subsurface and pipe-inspection disciplines that use completely different equipment, training, and liability cover. We do not perform them, and we would rather say so than take a job we cannot stand behind — on a concrete slab or a gas main, a confident guess is the expensive kind of mistake.

  • Utility locating — ground-penetrating radar and electromagnetic locating for buried utilities, including 811 / One Call markouts. Call a dedicated locating firm before you dig.
  • Concrete scanning — GPR to find rebar, conduit, and post-tension cables before coring or cutting. This is safety-critical work for specialists.
  • Video pipe inspection — CCTV crawler surveys of sewer and storm lines, and the NASSCO-coded condition reports that come with them.
  • Leak detection — acoustic and correlator surveys on pressurised water distribution systems.

Where a project needs both, we coordinate happily: a locating or CCTV contractor handles the subsurface scope, and we tie their findings into the same coordinate system as the building scan so everything lands in one model. If you already have a locating provider, we will work to their control.
